Settings Overview

Click on the Settings Menu in your dashboard to configure your blog. The Settings Menu is available through the Advanced Admin Interface. Clicking on ‘Settings’ will take you to the General settings page and also expand the menu so that you can access the other settings on your blog. During this article we will just look at the main settings that you would want to change on your blog.
	General Settings – allow you to set the blog name, tagline, language and timezone.
	Writing Settings – configure how people posts, default category and enable blogging from mobile devices (Supporters Only).
	Reading Settings – specify what to show on your front page and how many posts to show per page.
	Discussion Settings – an important one this one, configure who can comment and how comments are moderated.
	Media Settings - tweak how images are resized inside a post.
	Privacy Settings – another important one, decide who can see your blog. From making it accessible to anyone, just a certain group of user such as your class or only to blog administrators.
	Blog Avatar - just as users can have an avatar, your blog can also have a picture assigned to it to show in lists or other widgets.
